About Fremont
Presbyterian Church

Fremont Presbyterian Church has a long, rich
history woven into the fabric of the Sacramento community. From its beginnings
in 1882 as the 14th Street
Presbyterian Church at 14th and O Street, to its current location on the corner
of H Street and Carlson Drive, Fremont has been one of the landmark churches of
this city.
Fremont Presbyterian Church is a community
centered in Jesus Christ, reconciled to the Father, created, renewed and led by
the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy
Spirit.
- We believe Jesus Christ was fully human
and is fully God, is the only true Savior and desires to be our Lord.
- We believe the Bible is the inspired,
complete and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ, and is God’s Word
to us.
- We believe the Holy Spirit resides in
every believer, nurturing and transforming us to maturity as measured by
the full stature of Jesus Christ.
- We believe the Holy Spirit gives gifts to
every believer, empowering their use for the building of this church to
maturity.
- We believe we are all ministers, and must
be equipped in order to fulfill the many church ministries and our
mission to the community and the world.
- We believe that corporate worship and the
sacraments are central to the building of faith and for the expression
of our adoration to Jesus Christ.
- We believe that prayer is essential to
knowing God’s will for our lives and this church, and provides
relationship, power and wholeness.
- We believe as the Body of Christ we need
and experience fellowship, spiritual growth and care for one another.
- We believe Christ’s love is best
evidenced by our unity, and in the way we love each other.
We take pride that Fremont is a “city” church
reaching out beyond our walls to share the good news of the Gospel, joyfully
committed to knowing, loving, worshiping, and serving Jesus Christ to the end
that our community and the world may also know, love, worship, and serve him.
