CLASSES CURRENTLY RUNNING:
THE THEOLOGY OF GOD AND SUFFERING with
Rev. Jeff Hoffmeyer
Where is God in the midst of suffering? The classical problem of evil - why an all-loving and all-powerful God would allow evil to exist - is arguably the central question which Christian theology must address. This class, led by Pastor Jeff, will define the problem and then examine various responses within the framework of Christian theology and philosophy. Participants will be encouraged to engage in outside reading and to prepare for each session by reading assigned texts.
All are welcome to attend. This is a perfect opportunity for outreach, as the problem of evil is often the first challenge raised by non-Christians against a life of faith.
