Position Available:

Fremont is seeking a person who has a love for pre-school children and education and experience in early childhood education to be Director of the Fremont Nursery School. The Director provides administrative and visionary leadership to insure the highest quality and age-appropriate educational experience for pre-school students and their families, consistent with the goals and mission of the church.

 

Job Classification: Part-time (25 hours per week / 46 weeks per year)

 

Specific Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

·    Communicating and interpreting the vision, values and philosophy of the school

·    Administration of a high-quality early childhood educational program, including operations, curriculum and state licensing requirements

·    Hiring, training, management and leadership of high quality teachers and staff

·    Interacting with parents and families

·    Coordinating with church leadership and staff members

 

Qualifications:

Strong candidates for this position will possess the following:

·    A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including coursework required by the California Department of Social Services licensing;

·    Five years teaching experience in a licensed pre-school; significant experience as a director of a licensed pre-school is preferred;

·    Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership in carrying out a creative and age-appropriate program;

·    Proven ability to establish constructive relationships with children;

·    Current understanding of early childhood education and development;

·    Skill in managing adult and group relationships;

·    Experience and skill in supervising staff members;

·    Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills;

·    Strong Christian faith and knowledge of Biblical truths;

·    Active involvement in a Christian church;

·    Willingness to support the mission and purpose of Fremont Presbyterian Church

 

Compensation:

Fremont provides compensation commensurate with other pre-schools in the Sacramento area with similar positions. Fremont offers a competitive package with pension benefits and full health, dental and vision benefits for the employee, their spouse and dependent family members. Determination of placement in the salary range will include consideration of academic degrees, training, and experience.
