jan5587@aol.comAngel Tree is part of a national organization called Prison Fellowship. Since its foundation in 1982, over tow million children of prisoners have received Christmas gifts delivered to their homes by volunteers from neighborhood churches.
Fremont has participated for a number of years. Members select an angel gift request, purchase the designated present, and deliver it wrapped to the church. Just before Christmas, congregation volunteers collect the presents and deliver them to the children’s homes. In 2002, almost 300 children received gifts from Fremont’s members.
