What is FUSION?

It starts when a bunch of tiny parts of different atoms collide into each other. (Q) Do you know what happens next? (A) Energy! Yea, that’s right. In a fusion reaction, a bunch of smaller particles get connected together with other particles to form a new, bigger particle, and when that happens, a burst of energy is released! Amazing, isn’t it?

The FUSION Ministry of Fremont Presbyterian Church exists to minister to college students and young adults in the name of Christ. We realize that in many ways, church ministries are often geared toward families, married couples, youth and children, and as a result, often times college students and young single adults have trouble finding the right spot in a church. That's why we started the FUSION ministry at FPC. We want to provide a great Christian environment where you can get plugged in to a local church and where you can grow in your journey with God in Christ. We have teamed up with Restoration Life Church in Midtown and they will be joining us in a shared goal of forming true community.

Vision - Our goal is to connect College/20-somethings from Fremont and beyond, through our monthly FUSION service. This time of praise, teaching and fellowship will serve as a “hub” to mobilize and connect this age group that can often slip through the cracks in church environments. From there we will start small groups and ministries to reach out to the surrounding community (CSUS, Midtown crowd). There will also be weekly events for the purpose of outreach and community building (see Schedule).

Our goal is to create a WORSHIPFUL ministry that ENGAGES the heart of this generation, building a strong sense of COMMUNITY and CONNECTION among two different groups.
