Job Description

DIRECTOR OF MEMBER MINISTRIES

REPORTS TO: Executive Minister
CATEGORY: Regular Part-time (50%)
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
To be the primary staff resource for identifying and developing the gifts and skills of the Fremont members and incorporating them into the life of the church, and to update and maintain a consistent and accurate database of member information.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Act as staff resource to the Member Involvement Team
·Facilitate the scheduling of the Cornerstone Class and the leadership of the Cornerstone Team with the Member Involvement Team.
·Recruit and support leaders of programs that identify the gifts and skills of the members; act as a resource to members in matching their skills and interests with the opportunities for ministry at Fremont and beyond.
·Act as a resource and liaison with church leadership in matching the needs of a particular ministry with the skills of the membership.
·Encourage involvement in ministry throughout the congregation and promote opportunities for service so that all members of the congregation will be involved in ministry.
·Coordinate the input to and use of the computer database of gifts, skills and areas of involvement and service for each member and develop a system of follow-up to be sure people who indicate interest in Ministry are contacted and responses noted in their file.
· Coordinate and review the input of worship attendance data
· Coordinate the maintenance of basic membership data with the Pastoral Assistant
· Participate in staff devotions and staff development activities
· Participate in leadership team/committee meetings where appropriate.


EVALUATION:
This position is evaluated annually by the Executive Minister.
