The school is self-supporting through tuition and a limited number of scholarships are available each year.
We believe that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of development. We believe that learning occurs through a child’s interaction with materials, ideas, and people. Play is the primary vehicle for mental growth in young children and we therefore use a play based curriculum. FNS provides stimulating materials conducive to exploring, experimenting, and decision making.
FNS provides a warm and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. All of our teachers have an extensive background in early childhood education.
Each year our new families have the option to receive a home visit from one of the child’s teachers and the director. We keep our class size low with only 16 children to a classroom and 2 teachers per class. This allows us to have a low ratio of 1 teacher for every 8 children. Parents are welcome to come and visit.
