WHAT IS ACC?

A week-long, all-inclusive vacation that provides a variety of options for you: Enjoy fun activities, create lasting memories, refresh and renew your life, get to know great people, grow spiritually, develop a sense of belonging, and enjoy the unique beauty of God’s creation. ACC offers an enticing blend of recreation times with family or friends, cogent biblical teaching for all ages, worship, intergenerational relationship building, and creative programs for children and youth. The conference is held at Mission Springs Conference Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains amidst towering redwoods and close to nearby Santa Cruz beaches. Lodging options vary from camping to deluxe motel-type rooms with private baths

Mike and Shari Gaffney have ministered to college and young adults since 1987. He served for six years as Director of University Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Boulder, CO where they helped develop an outreach to students at the University of Colorado. He then served for 14 years at University Presbyterian Church of Seattle, WA, a ministry that impacts over 2,000 students annually. The past ten years they have been on staff with Young Life, leading an initiative to develop college ministries that disciple kids already reached by Young Life, reach out to new students, and develop leaders for God’s Kingdom and the mission of Young Life. Mike and Shari are entering their 30th year of serving and leading in collegiate ministry. Shari serves as the Executive Administrator for Young Life College and University. Mike and Shari also actively minister to pre-married and married couples of all ages through mentoring and speaking.
Mike graduated from University of Washington with degrees in Psychology and Sociology and from Fuller Theological Seminary with an MA in Theology. He is an ordained elder and minister. He was a member of the 1982-86 University of Washington Husky Football Teams and a three year letterman. He has been married for 30 years to his high school and college sweetheart; Shari, and they have three daughters: Olivia (22), Lily Anna (20), Sophia (19).

COST/LODGING

Mission Springs provides a variety of lodging options to fit your budget and your comfort level.  Included in the following examples are costs for all meals, lodging and the conference program.  Some special activities will require additional fees.  Compare these costs to a week at Tahoe or a week at Disneyland:
